The Hungarian Racka sheep is an ancient breed, which has been described as “Hungary’s companion” since the ninth century. We have now established a home for these protected animals here in Lazio. On the meadows and extensive pastures the lambs grow up with their kin eating natural food.
The straight V-shaped corkscrew horn is the unmistakable feature of Racka sheep and with bucks it may grow to up to half a metre long. This breed is robust and extremely resistant to stress. At our estate we process in particular the high-quality meat of these animals, which is fine-grained and contains little fat.
