Cassandra combines the powerful Tannat with the delicate fruit and herbal flavours of Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon. A solid red wine with the elemental character of a dense forest.

Vineyards | Two vineyards in the township of Gradoli, at an altitude of 400 to 450 metres |
Vinification | Varietal fermentation for approx. 14 days in a steel tank at a controlled temperature (27° to 30° C) |
Maturation | Separated by grape varieties for 13 months in barrique barrels (mainly French oak), blending at the end of maturation, further bottle ageing of at least 12 months |
Tasting notes | Subtle spicy, woody aroma, initially seamless on the palate with organically full mouthfeel and lengthy tannic structure, very spicy wood note, complex citrus flavours, unpretentious and lots of presence in the finish |
